I started working on a couple more monochrome panels. Here's a quick photo.
So far, the pink panel has three layers of color and the bluish painting, two. When completed they've likely to be very different from these beginning photos.
When I use monochromatic color schemes, the end result isn't often a true monochrome painting. I do always stick to analogous colors for this group, and I use a lot of washy layering as I build upon similar hues.
That's probably it for today. I will be spending the afternoon running errands in town on this cloudy, rainy Monday, as seen from my studio window.
