TEXTURE// beach

A rocky beach at Sandy Spit, British Virgin Islands..

Certain textural and color combinations capture my interest and inform the work. My paintings are not intentionally referential but it's impossible to deny that environment plays a role.

So true, Stephanie! I can totally see this becoming one of your paintings.

The quiet winter landscape calls out to me every day. It's cold, so I've been too much of a weenie to get out and paint it. But I must, must at least take some reference photographs of the amazing grays.
