THE BUBBLING POOL

My husband or I took this photo on the island of Little Jost Van Dyke during one of my dad's visits to the BVI. It's informally known as the Bubbling Pool because when there's a north swell, the water gushes in and out between the rocks. It can be quite dramatic or tame, depending on the time of year and size of swell.

A little piece of paradise- a sublimely beautiful spot, just a short boat ride and hike away.

Oh this is the Washing Machine!! When we were sailing last winter, our friend Jim (the Captain) was telling us about it - they had gone there before. But when we set out from Tortola, the conditions were rough and we were advised not to go. All thru the trip we kept speculating about the 'washing machine place'.

I'll have to send this to our friends. How funny.
