AQUA- A TRIBUTE (1 of 2)

Tribute to AQUA- The Color of Paradise

Thank you to Pam Farrell (see more of her work here) for her suggestion for this post: a tribute to the color aqua, a reminder of my former island home in the tropics. So I posted a "call to artists". I didn't ask about content, only that the work feature the color aqua as a dominant element.

The response was so good, that I'm doing two separate online exhibitions. Here's the first.

Thanks to all the artists who sent me their wonderful work!

Fabulous, Stephanie! Such a wonderful color. You picked the right one for a virtual show. Thank you.

Wow! Impressive collection of works. Just in time for summer weather too. I love the range of materials and different hues of aqua.

This idea of a series of virtual exhibits based on color is great and I'm hoping someone else will pick up the next color for another exhibit.

Looking forward to Part 2.

Thanks Stephanie!

Wonderful, Stephanie.
Makes me want to go for a swim . . .

A very nice virtual exhibition! I have found, especially with blue, that the size of the field of color effects my response to it. Most of the pieces here are on the smaller side. Is this coincidence?

Interesting observation. I wonder that, too.
The color is such a strong element, that larger dimensions would change one's perception, most definitely. My response to a piece is greatly affected by its size. I'd be interested in others' comments on this.
