I started this painting while still in Charleston.  The undercoats are shades of teal.  Once I get the pink and orange like I want, I plan to add a very sheer layer of magenta over the entire painting.  We'll see...I could change my mind.

Layer of magenta seems like a great idea.
Please keep us posted. Thanks.

Love the pink with the orange. A layer of magenta sounds really cool!

Debu and Yvonne,
Thank you kindly. I've since added the sheer magenta, and did a few other things to the painting. I'm pleased with the results; will post the outcome next week!

You make me want to listen to some Tangerine Dream! I'll see if I can download their music.
The painting is now complete; it didn't take long, once I layered sheer magenta and lightened the orange.

if you are talking about
a thin glaze of magenta
I think it will react with
the orange well, especially
if you isolate the shape
which is orange.

It'll be on the next post (Monday).

Well, initially that wasn't exactly the plan (to isolate the orange) but I did have to do that in the end, yes.
