DETAILS...WORK IN PROGRESS

Detail of another painting I've just started...about three layers of oranges have been applied.  The deeper orange- top layer- hasn't been fused here.  Can you see how it's different in texture (rougher, more painterly) than the undercoats?

As previously mentioned, I've been working a lot with orange hues lately- a color I haven't "visited" much since 2007 and before.

Looking great Stephanie! It has a lot of depth. I have been working in the orange family lately too. Keep getting drawn to it.

Elizabeth,
I hope I can keep that sense of depth while building layers.
I always enjoy your hot-orange paintings. There's something energizing and uplifting about orange!

What a great start! You narrate the process so well too. Looking forward to see the next level. Thanks.:)

Debu,
I'm pleased with where the painting is going, thanks! I often like to start with saturated, intense color, such as these oranges.
