CHAPELLE DU SACRE'-COEUR NOTRE-DAME DE MONTREAL

More images from my Montreal trip...
Chapelle du Sacre-Coeur (The Sacred Heart Chapel, also called the Wedding Chapel) was completed in 1888.  Located behind the Basilique, the Chapel boasts an awe-inspiring bronze altarpiece by Quebec sculptor Charles Daudelin.

When I first learned that I had to take Art History classes in college, I thought I'd be bored to tears, but they ended up being some of my favorite classes. The churches were especially inspiring and lovely, much like this church!

Great metalworking in this church!

plasticanimal,
I loved Art History so much that I made it my Minor. I wanted a double major (Art Studio and Art History) but there was that issue of "I really need to graduate one of these days in the near future."
Seeing the Montreal churches was an awesome experience. I really need to get over to Europe where amazing cathedrals are all over the place!
