ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONISM WORKSHOP: Part 3

Abstract Expressionism workshop that I taught at the Art Center of Corpus Christi...Images from September's classes:
Bonnie, an art student at Del Mar College, starts a painting inspired by Hans Hofmann.
Bonnie also attended my July workshop.  I enjoyed her energy and watching her confidence develop.  Bonnie has a great eye for color and keen sensitivity to the materials.

Below, two completed paintings by Hee, a graduate of Del Mar College's art program.  Hee's sense of space and composition are impressive, and her brushstrokes and colors bold and exuberant.

Hee's painting from our workshop on Franz Kline, above.
And below, her painting in the style of Willem de Kooning.

Teaching the classes must have been a lot of fun for you! Ms. Hee's first painting came out pretty nice!

plasticanimal,
Yes, I immensely enjoyed organizing and teaching these workshops.
Hee's Franz Kline inspired painting was her strongest piece, in my opinion.

You must be a great teacher. The three paintings are quite a success. Love this blog.
