Details of a rock found in south Texas's semi-desert environment.

All around me are rusty and dusty earth colors against intense blue sky. Or, at the seashore, soft beige and murky jade. Where I live is humid and subtropical yet somewhat arid. As empty and open as it appears, there is much to see in this vast landscape if one is willing to look.

It's evident that environment informs my work, in color, structure and texture.

Very odd rock formation!

We thought so too! J found it in a field near where he works. He is always on the lookout for interesting rocks. (In the BVI, it was shells, bits of coral...)
