ROTHKO CHAPEL ENTRANCE AND POOL WITH BROKEN OBELISK.
Last weekend, we drove to Houston to see the Menil Collection for the first time, and to revisit Rothko Chapel. On the chapel grounds is the famous three-ton steel sculpture, Broken Obelisk, created in 1963 by Barnett Newman. It was dedicated to Martin Luther King when John de Menil funded its move to Houston in 1969.
What better thing to do over the weekend than experience greatness?

I love the structures in the images.

Verlyncia,
Yes, I like them too - they fit well with the surroundings and of course with the paintings and interior space. Thanks for your comment!
